Fatahillah Museum of History
Fatahillah museum of history is located in Jakarta, close to the Ceramic Museum and the Museum of Fine Arts. Fatahillah museum of history is also known as the Batavia Museum. The Dutch government has opened it as a city council and then became a museum after Indonesia's independence in 1974. The Fatahillah museum of history houses more than 23,500 pieces belonging to the East India Company including swords, the museum also boasts the richest collection of 17th century Betawi furniture.
