Maritime Museum of Malacca
The Maritime Museum of Malacca is located in the state of Malacca, It is exactly opposite of the Medan Samudera which is a handicraft and local produce building. The Maritime Museum is one of the most important tourist attractions in Malaysia. The focus of the museum is the maritime history of Malacca and the golden ages of Malacca’s Sultanate as the Emporium of the East. The Maritime Museum presents a similar version of the Portuguese ship that sank on the coast of Malacca while on its way to Portugal, which is 34 meters in length And 8 meters wide. The museum includes exhibits from large numbers of materials such as porcelain, silk, spices used by ancient sailors. There are also ancient manuscripts of the ships at that time, as well as a collection of hidden treasures of the ship sinking (Diana) and other ships. The museum also displays aspects of the various cultures that experienced in Malaysia from Portuguese and Dutch eras to the British occupation.
